The next Bitternes Afloat  adventure is running online

Sunday April 4th 2021 – Saturday April 10th 2021

What we are doing in 2021

As we are unable to run our normal sailing holiday in Norfolk this Easter, we are instead running Virtual Bitternes.

Running online from Easter Sunday (4th April) to Saturday 10th April, we are going to be thinking about and celebrating all the different ways that ‘God’s Got This’ right now. Given the current circumstances, it can be easy to think everything’s out of control, but we think there’s a different way of looking at it all…

We will be sharing a mix of sketches, conversations and stories, as well as lots of time to catch up with friends, make new ones and share in it all together over Zoom.

While Virtual Bitternes will be great, it is clearly not the same as going away together to sail and learn about Jesus in Norfolk (less wet for a start!). Once it is safe and government guidelines allow us, we will once again be running in-person Bitternes Afloat cruises.

What we normally do

In the landscape of the stunning Norfolk Broads and on a fleet including classic wooden sailing yachts, we give young people the chance to learn to sail and experience something of God.

For over 60 years we have provided the adventure of becoming immersed in living, eating and sleeping on boats, learning to sail during the day. Around this, we seek to develop a greater understanding of Christianity, sharing together through teaching, worship and time together.

What we really do

We love to see new people on the cruise. If you want more information or to talk with one of the team, get in touch:
